We purchased Amadeus at the end of 2006, in partnership with Bumble Hill Alpacas. Although already five years old he had not until this time been certified or worked. We could not resist this male’s impeccable pedigree. His dam is bred from the classic combination of Senator/Summer Haze and with the recent death of Amador this genetic line will become increasingly hard to source. He is a strong-boned boy with superb conformation and a classic suri head. In addition, he has great lustre and a very uniform lock structure through his fleece. Though registered as a light fawn, Amadeus is in fact solid white.

We were very fortunate to be able to purchase a 50% share in Gold Sovereign from Ambleside Alpacas in 2007. Gold Sovereign is 100% Accoyo and will commence stud duties in Autumn/Spring 2007. His statistics in 2006 were impressive at 18.5µ, SD 3.8µ, CV 20.6%, CF 99.3% and his fleece has a beautifully soft and silky handle. His unique qualities, when added to those already contributed by our existing males, will continue to advance our breeding programme.
